FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need podcasting experience to book the studio?
Not at all. Whether you’re launching your first episode or are ten seasons in — we’ll meet you where you are. If you need guidance, production support, or editing, we’ve got you covered.
What’s included when I book a session?
Each session includes full access to your chosen studio (The Echo Lounge or The Theory Room), equipped with 4 x Rode Pod Mics, Rodecaster Pro mixer, Sony 4K cameras, RGB light tubes, and studio lighting. You’ll also have a MacBook Pro for live recording.
What do I need to bring?
Just an external SSD or hard drive to collect your footage on the day.
If you’ve booked production with us, we’ll take care of everything else – sound, lighting, recording, and direction.
Will my content be edited?
If you’ve booked studio hire only, we’ll give you all raw files at the end of your session. If you’ve booked production, you’ll have synced audio/video files captured for you. Need editing? We offer full post-production as an add-on – from long-form episodes to short-form reels.
What’s the difference between Studio Hire and Production?
Studio Hire is DIY – you bring your own producer or team and use our space and equipment.
Production includes a dedicated in-house producer to manage lighting, sound, and camera during your session. Editing can also be added after recording.
Can I just book one session?
Yes – we offer both one-off bookings and ongoing memberships. If you’re testing the waters or capturing something special, one session is perfect. For podcasters or brands who need consistency, we offer custom packages.
How long are the studio sessions?
We offer hourly bookings with a minimum of 1 hour. Longer sessions or full-day bookings are also available.
Can I film social media content here too?
Absolutely. Many of our clients use their podcast session to capture reels, snippets, or BTS content. If you’d like help turning long-form content into scroll-stopping clips, just let us know.
Can I bring guests with me?
Yes – both The Echo Lounge and The Theory Room accommodate up to four people. Whether you’re solo, co-hosting, or interviewing a guest, we’ll configure the space to suit your setup.
Where is The Echo Theory located?
Our studio is located in South Hurstville, Sydney. Street parking is available. We also offer strategy and creative support via virtual consults.
What if I need help planning or launching my podcast?
We offer content strategy consultations and launch support through our creative team at The Purple Panda Agency. From branding and podcast covers to content pillars, talking points, distribution and marketing – we can help bring your idea to life, start to finish.
Are there any extra costs I should know about?
